Catalina Dressing

I have always been a fan of Catalina dressing. I’m just not a fan of consuming chemicals and commercial dressings have chemicals. I was so excited to find a really good homemade version recently & am posting it here just in case the blog where I found it should shut down.

I did make one adjustment to the original recipe. The original recipe calls for 2/3 cup of oil, which makes the dressing too oily, IMO. After trying different amounts, I settled on reducing it to 1/4 cup.

Making my own Catalina has taken Catalina Taco Salad to a whole new level!

  • 1 large clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup all-natural ketchup
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper (to taste)

Place all ingredients into a large bowl or glass measuring cup. Whisk until well blended.
