Homemade Catalina Salad Dressing

I have always been a fan of Catalina dressing. I’m just not a fan of consuming chemicals and commercial dressings can have chemicals. Lots of them! I was so excited to find a really good, really easy homemade version of Catalina salad dressing recently.

Making my own Catalina has taken Catalina Taco Salad to a whole new level!

Helpful Hint

The original recipe that I found was so good that it did not need much tweaking. The only adjustment I made was the amount of oil. The original recipe calls for 2/3 cup of oil, which makes the dressing much too oily, IMO. After trying different amounts, I settled on reducing it to 1/4 cup.

  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper (to taste)

Directions

Place all ingredients into a large bowl or glass measuring cup. Whisk until well blended.

Store unused salad dressing in the refrigerator.
